Project Jericho, a nationally recognized collaboration between Clark State Performing Arts Center and Job and Family Services of Clark County, changes lives through positive in-depth arts experiences for at-risk youth and families.
This February I was invited to Springfield, Ohio to take part in creating a mosaic mural with the families of Project Jericho. What an awesome experience!
My assistant, Carol Rodgers, and I, along with many other volunteers, worked for a week on several individual mosaic projects for each family member, and on a large mural to be installed at the Clark County Jobs and Family Services building.
The participating families loved the mosaic process and made beautiful pieces to take home and everyone had a chance to work on the mural that will brighten the Jobs and family Services’ lobby in March.
Once again the art of mosaic proved to be a vehicle for a message, “You can take the shattered pieces of your life and put them back together to create something beautiful and meaningful.”
Final installation will be March 25th and the Grand Opening will take place March 26 from 4 pm – 6 pm.
