Artist Gail Christofferson

Gail Christofferson

Beautiful, handmade mosaics by artist Gail Christofferson are one of a kind creation abounding with unique charm and character. Christofferson’s passion for glass, community projects, and creating mosaic art has taken her on a wonderful journey. Christofferson’s latest work has been geared towards large-scale projects, many of them community-based. When she leaves the studio to share and teach, her community mosaic projects draw in participants to work collaboratively to create large-scale mosaic installations, resulting in the unique sense of ownership and pride that comes from seeing their individual contributions blossom into a finished piece of art.

Christofferson’s corporate clients find a mosaic piece provides a fresh and unique form of art for their facility.  She is recognized for her attention to detail from concept to installation.

My Team

I have a talented team that elevates each of my projects through our combined talents.

Debra Buchanan (not pictured) imbues every project with a visual integrity, an eye for color, proportion, as well as the refined technique that can only come with extensive experience as a practicing and classically trained fine artist. Her ability to render imagery ranging from the abstract to the photorealistic, in a multitude of media including charcoal, graphite, oil or pastel, allow her to contribute visual texture and a compositional clarity that can be felt throughout the final work.

Craig Hamilton and I collaborate on my sculptures and mural installations. Craig  can be described as a creative with an emphasis on marrying function and aesthetics through form, structural design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. His architectural background and experience in furniture design/fabrication allow him to contribute to the entirety of the project from concept to construction, providing the required technical drawings, 3D model visualizations, and collaboration with various fabricators to successfully complete complex installations.

Bill Brown assists on everything from studio work, to load in, to driving the art to our locations near and far, to complicated installations.

New Studio

In July of 2021 I moved out of my small home studio into a beautiful new space in the sleepy town of Tontogany. “Togany”, as the locals know it, is just a few miles away from home and is an easy walk or bike ride away.

I have enjoyed the huge amount of room I now have; what a difference all that space makes for my work flow. I am looking forward to creating beautiful mosaics in my new space, come visit Togany to check it out!
