Wishes come true

This design is based on the art of Origami. Origami is derived from two Japanese words: Ori (folded) and Kami (paper). Before that, the art was called “orikata” (folded shapes). An ancient Japanese legend says if you fold one thousand cranes you will be granted a wish.

According to Japanese tradition, folding 1,000 paper cranes gives a person a chance to make one special wish come true. The crane is believed to live for 1,000 years and that is the meaning behind 1,000 an individual needs to fold. The crane is thought to represent good fortune and longevity, and its wings are believed to provide protection. It is believed that its wings carry souls up to paradise.

The cranes will be a variety of colors. The blue areas anchor the birds to the design. Several of the cranes will be presented in a 3D manner.
