Starry Night reimagined

I had the opportunity to be an artist-in-resident with the Garfield Elementary in Marion, Ohio in March of 2019. I worked with the students, staff and families to create a one-of-a-kind mosaic mural, our take on The Starry Night, installed in their central office windows.

In addition to the office mural, the students each made their own mosaic and even grouted them…that’s 350 mosaics completed and grouted….thanks to an awesome art teacher….Chelsea Dipman. The students at Garfield Elementary are lucky to have such a hard working and dedicated teacher!
